Ryan Booke

Ryan is a Plant Sciences major specializing in Crop Production at UC Davis. He previously earned an associate degree in Plant Sciences from Modesto Junior College and hopes to pursue graduate school or a teaching career. At the UC Davis Botanical Conservatory, he manages the orchid collection, leads the Victoria amazonica project, and oversees the pollination and propagation of the Welwitschia collection. He is also responsible for pollinating the conservatory’s cacao tree, curating social media content, and giving tours to visitors.

Ryan’s favorite orchid genera include Bulbophyllum, Dimorphorchis, and Dracula. He also maintains a private orchid collection in a controlled grow-tent environment.
