- Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity
Anna Klestinec is a fourth-year student majoring in Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity with a Microbiology emphasis and a minor in Geophysics. Growing up in San Diego, they cultivated a love for plants by caring for houseplants, helping with their mother’s garden, and designing terrariums for their pet reptiles. Anna also channels their botanical passion into their small business, "Shroomin Dudes," where they sell fungus- and plant-inspired watercolor paintings.
At the UC Davis Botanical Conservatory, Anna serves as the Carnivorous Plant Specialist, overseeing the care and maintenance of the collection. They also care for the begonia collection and contribute to larger projects, including planter box construction and palludarium setup. Anna deeply values their role at the conservatory and encourages visitors to experience its diverse plant life.
